With five children between us we know the value of an extra pair of hands. The benefits of having an au pair living in your house as part of the family far outweigh the disadvantages, even more so in rural locations where finding good help can be even harder. Simplyaupairs.com was started to provide a reliable agency which understands the different situations and needs of a family living in central London or a rural setting. We have lived with children in both situations and understand that au pairs have to be matched just as much to the location as to the host family. Au pairs are both male and female, aged between 17 and 27 who go to a host country primarily to learn the language, and about the culture, through living with a family. An au pair must be treated as a member of the host family, participating, when reasonably possible, in all the daily family events. An au pair will help with childcare, babysitting and light housework in return for room, board and pocket money. They are on an equal footing and should be treated at all times as a family member. Having an au pair is a very cost-effective solution, with average pocket money rates starting at £65 per week, for approximately 25 hours of help around the house and 2 nights babysitting per week. If both the host family and the au pair are realistic it can be a mutually beneficial arrangement; real friendships can be formed and contact maintained long after the au pair has returned home. There are plenty of ways of searching for au pairs over the internet, but by using simplyaupairs.com you will benefit from our contacts with some of the leading agencies across Europe. Most importantly you can be assured that any prospective au pair supplied by simplyaupairs.com has been through a system of interview, references, health checks and, if possible, police checks before being allowed to seek work as an au pair. We look forward to being able to help you find the right au pair for your family. Contact us at info@simplyaupairs.com or 01524 782435 or complete an online application form by clicking here..
